In Greek mythology Artemis is the daughter of Zeus, and often worshipped as Artemis Kalliste, "the most beautiful." That's a perfect description for this gun: The Most Beautiful.

Fortunately, the Atlas Artemis shoots just as good as she looks. This is my first double-stack 1911 and while I considered going a cheaper route I knew it would bother me always having a different choice compared to an Atlas. I've had the gun a little over a week and have nearly 1,100 rounds through her and there's no going back; this Artemis is simply on a different planet from any other pistol I own. The other day I had a range safety officer ask me if I thought it was worth the price; I smiled, handed him the gun, he racked it, pulled the trigger, turned around and said, "Ok, I get it."

This is my pistol of choice for Limited Optics and The Tactical Games. Soft shooting as you can get without running a comp. It’s so flat and the accuracy is second to none! Smooth as butter. You have to put this pistol in your hands and start running it then you’ll understand! hard to put into words how great of a pistol this is.

The Artemis RDS v2 is one of the best comp guns out there. Full disclosure I do not personally own this gun but can speak in complete confidence to its abilities. First off, for best results I would recommend pairing this with the SRO or Holosun 507 Comp. This gun is going to be very comparable to the Athena, but with the advantage of a fixed front site. Best recommendation I have is try both for yourself and see which one you like more!

I received my Artemis in 9mm 2 days before I had a major elective reconstructive surgery on my foot, so I didn't have a chance to put any rounds through it for then next 2 months. I then went out and was able to stand and shoot, and after the first 6 rounds, I started laughing! This is by far and away the most fantastic firearm I've ever seen, used, or owned! It shoots so flat it feels like a 22LR. I own 4 Atlas guns, and this is by far the best one I own. Usually, you lose the red dot vertically during recoil, but not with this gun--the red dot barely moves between shots, so I can get a second shot off so much faster. I'm using the Holosun 507 COMP red dot. I started off in USPSA Limited Division Major Power Factor with my Altas Nemesis (iron sights, 40cal.) and last year started shooting Limited Optics Division in USPSA. This is now the gun I'll be using for Limited Optics this year! I had 2 competitions this last weekend (just able to stand and shoot--no running on my foot) and I've never had so many Alpha hits on target so quickly. Even at 25 yards I was easily able to put 3 rounds into a 4" circle freestyle. The accuracy is just beyond incredible. Adam and Tony did a great job of answering my questions and have always taken care of me with great customer service. This will also not be my last Atlas gun!

I'm no shooting expert. Just a casual range goer. But I know good craftsmanship when I see it, and my Artemis is such a smooth firing gun, I want to get better at shooting with it! At my current experience, I be making 8" groupings at 10 yards. I would recommend this gun to anybody who wants a sweet masterfully crafted gun that will turn heads out at the range. Gotta compensate my poor accuracy with a top tier gun hahah! Thanks again to the people at Atlas Gunworks for this marvel of a gun!
