About our 4.25" Tool-less Guide Rod without Reverse Plug (Stainless Steel)

I really dislike needing special tools to field strip a firearm for cleaning and general maintenance. HATE IT! But...... install this in your Springfield Prodigy 4.25 and no need for hex wrenches or paperclips to just clean/maintain your pistol. Ultimately on a 1911 I prefer a GI length guide rod, but if that's not possible, then this IS THE SOLUTION! Thank you Atlas!!!

I bought this to replace the factory guide rod for my staccato P clone that required a small tool to remove. At first glance it seemed like a no brainer part to swap out but upon further examination, this guide rod doesn’t have a flat, flush back end and doesn’t seem to consistently sit right. The slightly raised, beveled back end allows the guide rod to move ever so slightly beneath the barrel and seemed to cause a few jams when I was shooting last weekend. I’ve seen another tooless guide rod on the market that fits a 4.25” bull barrel that has a flat rear end like the one from the factory which is probably the better option. My mistake for not checking this before buying, so just do your research.
